Angkor Butterfly Center

On the long tuk-tuk ride out to the Banteay Srei temple site, I just had to make a stop at the small but beautiful Angkor Butterfly Center. Ok, ok… looking at flowers and butterflies isn’t for everyone. But I’m all about it! It’s a nice break from the bumpy dusty roads, unrelenting souvenir hawkers and Japanese and Chinese tour groups.

For $4, you go in with someone who works there, they give you a quick tour of all the stages they “foster” (pupa, caterpillar, chrysalis, butterfly) and then you’re free to wander around.

So here’s a little break for nature…
